One of my new clients that I’m working with on marketing projects is Mix&Meet. They are a Boston start-up that offers a twist to the typical social networking website. They’ve launched their first site in Boston at www.MixBoston.com. The idea is simple (and pretty damn cool if you ask me!) — on a moment’s notice you can decide to go out and meet some new friends in Boston. The Mix Engine matches you up with a venue near your departure point and you can RSVP through the website or by sending a quick text message as your RSVP.
The mixers are small groups at spots around Boston. Right now mixers happen on Thursdays and Saturdays at 7PM and Sundays at 4PM. The Thursday night and Saturday night mixers take place at bars around the greater Boston area and the Sunday mixers are at cafes. You can also bring a friend to join you and they don’t need to sign-up through the website.
If you check out the site and sign-up, I’d be curious to hear what you think of it.
Also … If you’re interested in a freelance project contributing guest blog articles on Mix&Meet’s blog, let me know!
